The dahlgren use IOL Delivery System, single disposable lens delivery system consists of set of injector, cushion & cartridges supplied in sterile blister pack.
DIJECT-Disposable Injector System:
DIJECT-Disposable Injector System is specially designed for smoother and safer delivery of foldable IOL. The surgeon can insert foldable lens from 1.8 mm to 3.2 mm incision with various cartridges. This special delivery injection system is made by a combination of advanced polymers of medical grade and high-tech molding technique, diject offers better management of complications during iol implantation, as well as post operative complications (such as corneal deformation due to a widened incision).
This system is fully compatible, with new generation of extremely thin IOL, designed for micro incision techniques
This injection system uses hydraulic effect of the viscoelastic solution to push the IOL with a silicone stopper. The hydraulic pressure allows a soft, precise and completely controlled forward movement of the iol through the cartridge. This effect allows the surgeon to inject the iol with delicacy through a micro incision of 1.8 mm, depending upon the insertion technique used
Equipped with side windows, it allows the surgeon to visualize the free movement of the IOL in the cartridge chamber before inserting it in the patient eye
Scratches on the IOL, stretching of haptic, uncontrolled unfolding of the lens while releasing from the cartridge, are not found through this advanced technological delivery systems
Cartridge is made of biocompatible polypropylene homopolymer; they are molded with a specified low temperature injection molding technique. This technique makes it possible to increase amorphous of the polypropylene surface.
